On October 18th, the VHS Student Council attended the NMASC Central District Conference. During the conference, they networked with student council members from other schools, participated in leadership training, and represented VHS with pride.

They came in second place in both the roll call and costume competition and our Student Body President and Student Body First Vice President led a workshop on ethical decision making.

Established in 1950, the New Mexico Association of Student Councils was founded by a group of educators who wanted to create an organization for student leaders that would encourage them to practice the democratic process, citizenship and service while fostering an exchange of ideas and problem solving strategies in New Mexico's schools.
